An essential element to setting up your online shop is a trustworthy way of collecting payment. We personally recommend Paypal because they act as a badge of credibility and trust on your website.
It’s difficult to underestimate the value of these two factors when you’re asking people to part with their money.
Another option is to have your online payment system white-labeled, which removes all third-party branding.
Sagepay is a good product for this. However, most people want to know who it is their money’s going through, so we’d advise against it.
For higher volumes of transaction, the major banks provide merchant services where card transactions are processed via your website without any of the bank’s branding being visible on the website.
This option is often more expensive than running Paypal and is aimed at much larger and trusted brands.
