Tips for Increasing Engagement on your LinkedIn page

LinkedIn is often spoken about as an underrated platform, and many never know if it is worth putting time and effort into growing. However, if you are a B2B business, you can’t ignore the potential of LinkedIn, that is why we have come up with some ideas of how you can increase your LinkedIn.

Find Posts in your Previously Published Content

When you post, you don’t always need to come up with new and exciting content. With LinkedIn, you have content that can be used, it just might not have previously been put into a LinkedIn friendly format.

You can pull tips and advice from your blog posts, podcasts and workshops – you can then post these as text-only posts. And to make them more interactive, you can add the link to the resource you have used.

This is called splintering, where every piece of content you create can be turned into at least 10 other pieces of content for other platforms you have.

You should also keep in mind that you should use fewer characters on LinkedIn than on Facebook, so you will need to make sure you edit your content ensuring it can be read clearly and easily.

Create Downloadable Documents

This doesn’t mean someone needs to opt-in for your email marketing, this means to just offer the resource to everyone. You don’t need to create some fancy downloadable document (but it would look nice), all you need to do is make a document from a previously used resource, like a blog post, and add relevant links and call to actions.

By doing this you are showing your audience how much you are willing to give them for free.

Employee Generated Content

Once you have your posts, you will now want to create some engagement. Don’t worry, you don’t have to look far, you can go straight to your team!

Employee-generated content gets higher engagement, follows and conversions than branded content. The best way to create this type of engagement, is just to ask your team. Get you team together, explain what employee generated content is, and focus on how they can help your business grow.

Before you get your team to start interacting, make sure everyone knows what the goal is, so no one gets confused.
